The 1100-23 BS HUNTER Field/Hip Gun Holster for a P08 Luger 9mm with 4-inch – 4¾-inch barrel.

Open top closed toe, brass coated steel snap fastener closure, leather stamped style application code 1100P (plain) 23 and Hunter logo on the rear and on the brass coated steel snap fastener. The fold-over belt loop is secured with a Hunter logo stamped, brass coated steel snap fastener with the fold-over belt loop secured with Hunter logo stamped brass coated steel snap fastener assembly and wrap-around horizontal strap, secured to the fold-over belt loop with three steel rivets. Made for 4-inch or 4¾-inch barrel Luger.
 Early models were stamped in a vegetable oil based ink, which wears and fades early on. Open top, closed toe, plain, no logo stamped brass coated steel snap fastener closure, vegetable oil based ink stamped style application code 1100 23 holster, leather stamped with the Hunter company logo. The fold-over belt loop is secured with a plain, no Hunter logo stamped brass coated steel snap fastener to a wrap-around horizontal strap secured to the fold-over belt loop with three steel rivets. Made for 4 or 4¾-inch barrel Luger.
Open top, closed toe, plain no logo stamped brass snap fastener closure, generic style, no application code 1100 23 stamped holster, leather stamped with the Hunter logo only. The fold-over belt loop is permanently secured to the holster body, without the use of a brass coated steel snap fastener to a wrap-around horizontal strap secured to the fold-over belt loop with three steel rivets. Made for 4-inch or 4¾-inch barrel Luger.
Like new, excellent condition, open top, open toe, plain no logo stamped brass coated snap fastener strap closure. The fold-over belt loop is secured with a plain, no logo stamped brass coated snap fastener to a wrap-around horizontal strap secured to the fold-over belt loop with three steel rivets. The holster body has no application code or markings, however, based on its style and features is determined to be made by Hunter. Made for 4-inch or 4¾-inch barrel Luger. This is the only Hunter Luger holster variation identified with an open holster body toe.

A rare, special order left handed open top, closed toe, Hunter logo safety strap stamped brass coated steel snap fastener closure, leather stamped style application code 1100LH23 holster, leather stamped with the Hunter company logo. The fold-over belt loop is secured with a Hunter logo stamped brass coated steel snap fastener to a wrap-around horizontal strap secured to the fold-over belt loop with three steel rivets.
New, in original packaging, never used open top, open toe Hunter logo and 1100 23 application code stamped holster body with Hunter logo stamped safety strap steel snap fastener. A very interesting open top, closed toe, very fancy Mexican style flower hand-carved style holster with a leather stamped application code of 3100P 23 on the holster body rear, below the Hunter company logo. The fold-over belt loop is secured with a Hunter logo steel snap fastener to a wrap-around horizontal strap secured to the fold-over belt loop with three steel rivets. Made for 4-inch or 4¾-inch barrel Luger.

Vintage HUNTER brand quality gun holsters with a flexible, oiled finished Russet brown, heavy leather. This is their most popular style field holster, the 1100 series cut and molded for the guns intended. The number 1 holster is a rarer and out of production finish, last done over a couple generations ago. Heavily stitched at the stress points and riveted at the flap connection. A Snap-Off design, these holsters were made to slide or snap over a belt up to 2.5-inches wide, or it can be looped through the slot in a "Hollywood" style Buscadero belt. Holster number 3 does not have a Snap-Off design. Some of these models have the POWDER HORN STAMPED BRASS logo snaps. Per company information, these were last regularly used up to about 1965. The holster is marked on the back with the Company logo, application code is not present.
