Luger holster for 8-inch or 200mm barrel Artillery
Pictured is a very rare R.T. Frazier Saddlery, Pueblo, Colorado custom, special order made holster for an 8-inch or 200mm barrel Artillery Luger. Equally rare are R.T. Frazier Saddlery catalogs, noted mostly for their saddles than holsters, two examples are pictured, both being a large 8½-inch x 10¾-inch format, with the first, circa 1911 red cover catalog number 12 with 176 pages and the second, circa 1941 blue cover catalog number 42 with 127 pages. Despite the large 176-page size of the 1911 catalog, there are no holsters listed in the table of contents, nor featured in the catalog, therefore, one has to assume that sometime after 1911 and before 1941, R.T Frazier introduced holsters to their inventory of products as the 1941 catalog 42 has a single, page 74 offering of pistol holsters. Pictured are two additional catalogs, Catalog No. 20 and Catalog No. 29.
